I am from a cross-disciplinary background, broadly, biochemistry, biostatistics, health informatics and software development. With my past experience as Chief Technology Officer and training as an information scientist, I seek to enhance the effectiveness of ACFOLA communications, in line with its strategic goals.
In addition to volunteering in the role of public relations and communications director for ACFOLA, I am also a member of the Sports Committee. I serve as an emergency response team personnel with the Canadian Red Cross here in London. I am also currently the webmaster for a domestic violence victim support website called Kanokese.org. I love jogging and I am aspiring to be a marathon runner.
The Public Relations and Communications Director (PRCOM) promotes ACFOLA and the Federation’s events through press releases, media coverage and campaigns. Additionally, the PRCOM attends external events on behalf of ACFOLA. Finally, the PRCOM establishes relationships with people in the media industry as well as with stakeholders.
